Brachytherapy

Brachytherapy is a process that delivers radiation internally by placing radioactive seeds inside a tumor, either permanently or for a short period of time. Advances in the exact positioning of these seeds are important new tools in controlling cancer and reducing side effects.

High Dose Rate Brachytherapy (HDR) delivers a powerful radiation dose directly into or next to a tumor for a brief period of time. This targeted approach protects surrounding tissue and allows for faster recovery.
